The uptick in COVID-19 cases in the St. Louis region has forced many St. Louis County restaurants to close their indoor dining during what is normally a very busy season for business. Even through the economic impact they are facing through the closures, Vito’s in the Valley wants to continue supporting local charities.
To support the community first responders and families with seriously ill children, the La Fata family has selected five St. Louis local charitable organizations to sponsor 4-course Italian meals to this holiday season.
Now through December 31, 2020, individuals can donate on the website GIVEBUTTER to sponsor a 4-course Italian meal for families staying at Ronald McDonald House Charities and first-responders in the St. Louis region who are on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic each and every day. Through the website, you are able to choose from five local charitable organizations, including Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis, Mercy Hospital, Missouri Baptist Hospital, Friends of Kids with Cancer, and St. Luke’s Hospital.
“Help us make this a true season of giving by gifting a good meal to your local front liners, first responders and families in need” says Vito’s in the Valley owner, Jessica La Fata. “Your donations bring brightness to our community and local family businesses, like ours, at a time when we need it most!"
The La Fata family, like many restaurants and small businesses across the world have faced a year they could have never been prepared for. They have rallied together with their staff to continue working and to provide incredible food to the people who need it most.
“At Vito’s in the Valley, we have replaced diners with curbside pickups, holiday parties with catering deliveries and family gatherings around our Vito’s Christmas tree with family meals at home. 2020 has been hard on all of us but in many ways has brought out the best in our community. As we go into another shutdown, many customers have asked if they could purchase not only a gift card or meal from us to help, but also if they could donate one to a family in need! Our heart grew three sizes that day, and with that, our Support Local & Give Local campaign was born!
Vito’s in the Valley is a family owned and operated Sicilian Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria, located in the Chesterfield Valley off the corner of Long Rd. and Edison.
